Good job Jeff, man you were quick! I just now saw this post and your already done with it....dang that's fast.

I prepped my boo the exact same way you did, and I saw some similarities the way we do other things too. Like the sawzall blade on the back of the surfaces to be glued. I think this is probably why some guys glue ups fail, they are afraid to groove the back of their material to be glued up. I gouge mine pretty good, but not super deep to cause failure, but I want nice channels for the glue to penetrate and have something to grab onto.

Great Job overall man, and I hope you get a nice bird with it this spring. I'm getting back to work on mine today. Hopefully be shootin some arras by this afternoon.

Nice job man! Sounds like you have a real shooter and that is what its all about. It may not be perfect but it sounds like you learned a lot along the way. Thanks for the build along, I will certainly reference it at some point in the future when I build one similar to it.

Well rain cut the trip a little short, but man what a good trip even though the big ol tom is still strutting on a ridge above the white river. We did dosy doe for three long days and I would rather loose to a great adversary than win against a fool. Anyway

Thanks Art for the advice.

Chris Maybe this rain will get out of here next week so I can try it out on one of these swamp birds. Make sure to show us some pics, I have a osage character bow I have to do next for a guy but then I am gonna do the osage boo in the same design.

Lee I want you to know, a pocket knife is still not small enough to keep a person from making trad equipment. One afternoon I cut cane shoots for arrows and then every night around the camp fire we practiced knapping the local rock variety of rocks. LOL
