Dean the following day I pealed off the bark and it went pretty easy except for the one log I had gotten two days before. That once seems to be holding tight so I will have to get the draw knife out on those few staves. No biggie. I still plan to spray them all down just for some peace of mind. My plan is to rough out a stave every couple days and by the time I'm done roughing I hope the first will be ready to make a bow. I wish I had a bandsaw but it does give me a good workout with the drawknife. Could be done with some help from my drying box for a day or two. Some of these staves have goo sized knots but that shoudl make them all the more interesting in the end. I'll start off with the clear staves first.
