There is a chapter in TBB 4 about it.  I highly recommend this.

Pearlie, I don't think it is too late. I would not add much reflex if any at all but toast it flat.

Thats just what I had in mind Pat. I want to leave the natural shape the bow has and just add some temper to it. Sounds like I have some heat gunnin' to do tonite! Thanks

John I have TBB 1 & 2 and still need to snag 3 & 4.

Its tempered! No back burns, no splinters lifted, no ill effect's at all. Just a nice toasty brown, hard surface. Today is the 4th day since heating it. The humidity has been high, its ready to finish. I will try to take a pic or two on the tree when the tiller is done. I went against Pats advice just slighty  :eek:  and flipped the tips 1", just for string angle insurance. The bow is 60" ntn, working handle.

Exercise the bow slowly as you work out to full draw again to insure the wood is eased into bending after toasting it.

So far so very good Pat. It gained only a few pounds in draw after toasting. The tiller went out on one limb a touch. All in all Im very pleased. After getting it very close to my draw I unstrung it and it springs back to shape quite fast, you can see the limb tips move back to rest. I think "We have winnahhh'!" Another few scrapes and she will be firing arrows. It should settle in at about 52-54# @ 28". 60" ntn, 1 3/4" limbs, 3/8" tips. Width taper starts mid-limb.
