Marking Under Glass
« on: May 13, 2011, 08:08:00 AM »
I am getting everything ready to glue up a glass R/D bow for a benefit auction.  I was thinking of putting the organizations logo or something under the clear glass.  The only problem is that the limbs will be cocobolo which isn't something I can just stencil the logo on or anything.  Does anyone have any ideas on marking coco under the glass that wont interfere with the lamination?  I wonder what bleach will do to coco?  hmmm.

for glass boats , a logo is screened onto a very thin glass tissue, then put into the layup.
i geuss you could inkjet onto it too- be wary of laser. i ran a sheet of tyvek through my laser printer- well the heat just melted it!!needed new rollers.
but maybe it will work on the glass tissue.

Wayne,
The glass tissue sounds like it is worth trying, do you have a source for buying it?
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
