Recently finished takedown recurve
« on: May 29, 2011, 10:07:00 PM »
Here are a few pics of my latest creation. The riser is madagascar ebony with a marblewood center. The limbs are actionboo cores with zebrawood veneers.

Just got done paper tuning it today & it seems to be pretty quick. I'm gonna shoot it through the chrono one of the days to find out just how fast. It's 54# @ 28" and it's 62" long.

Great looking bow. How did you like working with the marblewood?  I have only used it once and didn't really care to work with it, sure is pretty though.

Jess This was the first time I used marblewood. I didn't really have any trouble with it. It was maybe a little soft compared to the ebony so I had to adjust for that when working with it.
