UL and ULS Glass ??
« on: July 20, 2011, 07:59:00 PM »
Is there any issues with mixing these two on a bow?  One on back and one on belly....

Thanks
Matt

What are the advantages of one or the other?  Read the specs on the mfrs sitter but can't make heads or tails of what it means

The way I understand it, uls has more stability, so I don't worry about it on my longbosw cause they have no trouble with twist anyway. Maybe if I build  a curve one day.....

Also uls helps on the swelling/splitting at the bolt holes on TD's if you don't get enuff finish in the drilled holes.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

A continuous unidirectional "E" fiberglass laminate combined with a 50/50 woven fiberglass inlay (scrim) that has high strength and stiffness along the longitudinal (0) axis and provides cross strength (90 degrees to the longitudinal axis).

Off the Binghams site.
