Copperhead Osage Mojam Bow
« on: July 23, 2011, 02:58:00 PM »
This is a bow I had almost finished for mojam. I didn't want to finish it completely without giving it a proper shoot in. After Mojam, it definitly is. The new owner definitly loves his new bow. Here are a few pics

Copperhead skins on osage with a leather grip.

The tips are zebrawood again. I really like the stuff. It almost has a marble look to it, plus it sands and finishes well.

Pretty common with copperheads, the one skin wouldn't cover the bow so I pointed the ends and just used what I could get. Awesome color to this skin. It was alot lighter than my other two skins.

Braced pic.

And full draw. BOth pics show the imperfections in the tiller, but the owner doesn't care and says it "shoots great"

3/4in. fades tapering to 1/4in tips.

For my youngest son Vinny. There is a pic of him shooting in the trad events and gatherings forum under MOJAM pics. Thanks

That's awesome Dave, he looks like a tuff customer so you better keep him happy! What kid could ask for a better daddy?

Sorry I couldn't make it out to MOJAM either, I wanted to so bad but it just didn't happen. Hopefully see you all there next year.

I like skins put on that way. And the zebrawood tips really sets it off! Lucky little guy there!

Dan it was good to see you and Jerry too. I missed you guys last year. I'll be gettin in touch with you soon when it comes to the horn. I'm going to sand it down this week some time.  My wife got a kick of everyone.

Chris- Goose made it out even with a new baby.  I'm sure you had a good reason.  I was two days late myself, but I wouldn't miss it.
