Heat curing way after initial gluing?
« on: July 23, 2011, 04:35:00 PM »
I used smooth on to glue a hickory backed ipe together, it has been a few months. Would I, or should I heat cure the bow to set the glue even better before I move on to tillering?
Hickory backed Ipe with a Zebrawood accent.

I am no expert, but I would think, heat would not help after the smooth-on has cured. Don

Per their website, "When mixed 2A:1B by volume, EA-40 will achieve greater heat resistance and improved physical properties." Does anyone use this mix ratio?
