I guess them ain't too bad for a Yankee with a bird dog that points and catches bullfrogs.    :goldtooth:

What wood did you use for the footing on those self arrows, is that cedar, ash, or hickory?

Better than a Rebel that catches baby Bass, brush hogs his bass boat with his big twactor, then ask's a Yankee for advice on the type of glue to fix the boat and etc:)  :knothead:

It's Osage Son, what other kind of tree's are there? Real Men don't play with Hackberry:)

Bows aren't much good without arrows Roy. Glad you figured that out! But they do look nice though.

I might know a guy that may have a skin or two that also needs arrows cuz he hates making em cuz he's too lazy, or always making bows, that might trade something for something. But he'd want nice ones though.  :biglaugh:

Pa is loaded with snakes. But good osage is hard to find here. Get off the potty DVS, what's ya want in trade for a set of dem skinny snake skins in yer frezzer?

Red, the 6 are cedar, the other 4 are river cane with osage nock and point inserts. Takes a long time to build an arrow from cane, but it is worth the time. And they shoot just as well as carbons do.

Beautiful work on those Roy, especially the cane shafts.  Just curious, have you ever weighed a completed cane arrow, and where do you get your cane for the shafts?  I don't think it grows naturally this far north, does it????Dan

The cane shafts weigh around 500 to 550 grains. I got the shafts from a guy in SC.

Bona what really hurts is when ya break or lose one:)

Nice Job there RC... Those turned out real nice... I've been too busy working on a pair of TD bows for elk season to work on my cane arrows.

Are you gonna shoot at BVA on the weekend of the 12th?
