Is it bad when the bowyer bug hits you this hard?
« on: September 19, 2011, 02:18:00 PM »
Ok so I shipped my stave, bows and tools home already. I just can't seem to shake the bowyer bug that has bitten me so here is a pic of the bow and arrow I made in about 15 minutes tonight.

12" TTT draws about ?# @ 5", but will fling that blunt arrow about 20'.    :)   Hope yall like it.

It might Pat, and yes Joe I am. Ruddy I know what you mean. I have on Osage bow blank shipped from here, one failed hickory bow, one hickory stave and one short Osage log (I think I can split and splice for a bow) I am planning on all of them.

I've been wanting to get into archery for a while, and when KellyG introduced me to tradgang, I figured why not start from scratch and build my own. I made me a mini bow as well to hold me off till I get home! Can't figure out how to load pics on here though

Mike,
I am sure by the time you get home I can have a stave waiting for you. I know you are not far behind me so sending you there would be a waste.

Bel007 now that is funny.
