Just finished this today. It came off the new LB form I made last spring. Second one off. The first was 1 3/8 wide and 68 1/4 NTN. This one for a smaller shooter is 1 1/4 wide and 66 1/2 NTN.
Riser is rosewood, lams are plain maple, no overlays. Draws 53# at 28", which is right in the neighborhood I wanted.
These lams are stained with ferric nitrate (aqua fortis). The AQ was purely an experiment to see how the color would come up. There is no special grain in the wood, so therefore no special character. In the end, I don't care for the effect of the AQ at all. Probably won't go there again.
Did this with pin nocks and in the end not very happy with them. If it would not push the draw weight up too much, I'd cut them off and re-do.
Actually, I don't care much for this bow at all! Hope the recipient likes it more than I do.
Here's some pics including an FD curve. The FD curve is the only thing I like about this bow! Nothing special here. Just a plain working bow.
