Lee Valley dowel maker
« on: February 21, 2008, 06:59:00 PM »
Anyone ever use one of these?

  Lee Valley
Looking to finish my bow project soon as the weather warms up a bit and then would like to make some arrows.

3/4" dowel a good size? I'm not a hunter but mostly target shooting, though once I get my bow made I'd really like to do some turkey hunting and was wondering about dowel size.

Thanks

Wow   how heavy a bow are you shooting ?

Most wood arrows are somewhere in the 5/16, 11/32, 23/64 range.  Some may get into the 3/8" range.   Were you meaning 3/8" dowel ?

Three things you cant take back, time past, harsh words and a well sped arrow
