Which bow?
« on: November 24, 2011, 02:30:00 AM »
Ok, I have been lurking here in the build section for a while and am ready to take the plunge and build something.  I am considering either Bingham's 62" hybrid or 64" R/D kit and need some input.

To give you a little background I draw to 29" and am currently shooting a newer (5 years old) Howatt Hunter (62", 55# @ 28") and I really like the grip and shoot it well (I have shot lots of recurves over the years).  I also have an older Bighorn Ram Hunter longbow that I have been shooting pretty well (62", 70# @28"), but not as good as the Hunter - mostly grip related (I don't do well with a dished or straight grip - I like a medium or low grip).  I enjoy shooting the 55# @28 more because I can shoot it all day without any fatigue so I am staying there weight wise.  I also shot a Savannah when I bought the Hunter and shot it as good as the hunter and really liked it.

Anyway, given my draw length and your experience should I choose one over the other? I am kind of leaning toward the 62" hybrid because I liked the Savannah but obviously this bow is different and I can't just go to the store and try them out lol.  Any suggestions are appreciated.
