I'me trying to salvage a boo backed ipe that splintered at a node. It pulled a splinter of the ipe up too. Anyway a me and a buddy was building it for him and it split while tillering. He didn't want it anymore so he cut his handle off of it and I took it and ripped it thin enough to get the split out. It ended up being 3/4 inch wide. I've got my new handle on it and have it tillered all the way down to 28 inches. I was doing it as a experiment. It came in at 62#@28. My question is the top limb had got a twist in it. Can I heat it to get it out?? It was glued together with Urac. I didn't think heat deactivated Urac but I'm not for sure. Thanks for any help
