Bow # 7 with skins finished
« on: December 07, 2011, 09:18:00 AM »
64" ttt.  50 lbs at 27.  1 3/4 for 2/3 the limbs then tapering to 1/2 inch tips.  Osage tip overlays like the last one.  They go really well with the skins I think.  Heat treated the belly while taking out the propellor twist.

Do I have to build 7 bows to get one that looks like that?  Beautiful bow you have there.  Nice job.

Parachute cord that I took all the threads out of.  Commonly known as gutted paracord.  I like it better than leather.  Deosn't stretch when wet, warmer than leather in cold weather too.  Doesn't look as traditional or primitive but hey I always a few feet of cordage when needed.
