50's Style Recurve
« on: December 29, 2011, 11:35:00 AM »
Anyone out there have a set of plans for a 50's style recurve. I would like to build a bow with a nice slim longbow style riser and recurve limbs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use the Binghams plans for mine.   It wasnt much for the plans.  I would send you mine but they got ruined with smooth on.  That darn stuff gets on everything.

Old Master Crafters has plans that resemble a 50's style.  I'm finishing one now using their horse bow form that I'm pretty happy with. I bet you could also use Binghams plans and keep the riser length the same but adjust the riser shape to your liking.

I have a mdf template for a 50's kodiak that I made one time but never got around to making the form. I can ship it to you for the cost of shipping if you want it.
