A special Thanks to Keenan
« on: January 10, 2012, 06:20:00 PM »
Thanks to Keenan,a member here, I was able to go out and chase rings on some osage today for the first time in over 3 years.  Nothing hurts buy my fingers....lol....all 4 blisters....lol.  It was a real treat for me to be able to do this again.  I have to teach myself all over on the usage of the draw knife, but after 3 billets and one full length stave, things are looking better.  Thank you so much Keenan.  You don't know what that Stave Master meant for me, just to be able to work on staves again.  I will get some pictures tomorrow of the stave master, the results and a huge pile of shavings........Thanks again Keenan.

Thanks everyone. And thank you Charlie. I am so glad to hear you are able to work staves again. After four back surgeries I couldn't handle standing at a vice scraping at all. Now the main problem that I have is falling asleep, when I take a brake from scraping. LOL

Roy you are awesome, you have given me an idea! Carp skin seats. Or even better yet I could make a custom order special for you that has a Sturgeon skin seat and I'll leave the sharp barbs right down the center.....LOL

Kris Glad you are liking it so well.  Nice pic
