Limb delaminated
« on: March 03, 2012, 11:19:00 AM »
I bought an original Schafer recurve and both limbs are delaminated.  The back glass seems to simply have come unglued.  The limb cores look fine.

Is there someone I should send these to for restoration, or can I do it myself?  The previous owner tried to get Schafer Silvertip Archery to repair the limbs but Dave wasn't interested in repairing the old limbs.

Any advice?

Might check with this fellow

Or Mike at Maddog bows,Mike builds new limbs and repairs some bows....

But if Dave didn't want to repair it, there is probably a reason. I would lots rather spend the cash for new limbs as have them let go later personally.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I get the desire to have it repaired since it is original Schafer, but in reality probably better off just to let Dave build you some limbs
