Bit o' tip twist
« on: March 11, 2012, 04:13:00 AM »
So I strung up my newly built take down recurve and it looks GREAT.. string is straight.. .look down at the tips and everything is lined up.

Then threw it up on the tiller tree and got it back about to 22".. and noticed one tip is off to the right a bit.. not alot, but enough that when you relax it, the string is off to the right.

I am looking at my note book and from the boyers bible I have a note written down that you sand the side that the noc is pointing to????  But after doing some searching here, I am seeing the opposite.

Again, relaxed at brace, there is no twist.. just when pulling.. I have a feeling it is a noc grove.. I played a bit with those and got it better.. but just want to pick some more brain power.

Thanks guys
God gave you hands, use them

Bradford - to me this is also confusing.  I bookmarked a discussion about this that might be helpful.  I'll add the link, I hope it works and is helpful.  I've also had good results slightly adjusting the string grooves.
