Haven't tried it but sure looks like it will make a pretty limb. Where did you buy your veeners?

I've used it before. It doesn't quite come to life like you would think under glass but it's still nice stuff.

I haven't used it but it sure is good looking.  I saw a bow with quilted maple in Waterloo this weekend and I thought it was as nice as they get.  This will look every bit as good, be sure to add pictures along the way.

I got a bow last year in the bow trade with quilted maple that looks awesome so hopefully this will look good too. Brushwolf- I got the veneers from veneer supplies out of Maryland- really nice quality stuff.

I think your gonna like it under glass, the grain really pops when the smooth on hits it.

David I haven't used them but I have seen Roberts bow with those veneers.   I say go for it.   Better have plenty of butter on it and then spread on a little more to fill the valleys.

Dmax, you saw this bow with Bubinga veneers, I hardly ever bring out the Sapele bow..it needs a grip reshaping.. they are both nice veneers.

I glued up a limb yesterday- have the other cooking now. This stuff really looks alive. Here is a picture with the boogers and tape off--

That looks dang good David!!

I think it will be equally impressive when slimmed down into a limb.

You ever have a veneer that looked really good til you skinnied it up? LOL

Thanks- these are going on a recurve so they won't get slimed down a whole lot more.
