My first bow. Red oak board bow

I built this bow last year. it was my first atempt. I made it out of a red oak board from home depot. Im super proud of it and I just wanna share some pics. It turned out to be 40# @ 28"

really nice- interresting how you have moved the lace up to the side- was that because it was bugging you under your fingers?

fujimo, I put it that way from the start. lol It would have drove my OCD wild to have it under my fingers

Very nice! It took me two tries to get a shooter and three tries to get one I could hunt with.  :thumbsup:

You are all very kind. Thank you. I feel that I was very lucky with my first bow, I literally found the "perfect piece of wood". I sent a pic of the board to Sam Harper of poorfolkbows and he said, "you might not even have to back it". Yeah Right! I was soo scared the whole time, I ended up going so slow. lol that made me worry too because ppl say that could impact the tiller.
