hi guys,
i want to share the information that i have found recently.
these are the images that you can use wood thickness vs elongation proportions.
the first one is used like this. (if anyone that do not know how to)
if you have a wood with 0.75% maximum elongation value and the thickness with 0.45" then you will have 30" minimum bend radius. math is simple as it is.
second one shows the elongation values.
if you can not find it there you can calculate it with
elongation = MEO / MOR this will give you some number. you need to make it percentage. by dividing it to 100.
thanks to paleoplanet.net
best.
i hope this will help for your future projects.
