Thunderbird clean up?
« on: April 02, 2012, 10:20:00 AM »
Have been brushing Thunderbird finish on, but it takes a long time, and is a pain. I'm going to buy a spray gun and give it a shot. What does everyone clean their guns with. I know the thinner that comes with the T-bird kit would work but I need it to thin the T-bird. Thanks, Don

I tried denatured alcahaul, but it didn't work so I only use the thinner that t-bird sells at this time.(use it to thin, and clean my paint gun)But I will be watching this also to see what others use.

The thinner that you get from Thunderbird really is the best to use. However as you do need to use it to thin your T-bird you can't use it every time without buying extra, which is expensive. Our solution to this is to use Klean-Strip Lacquer Thinner every other time or every 2nd time we spray T-bird.
Just get outside and blow the stink off!!!
