Macassar Ebony source
« on: May 26, 2012, 05:08:00 PM »
I'm looking for an online source for Macassar Ebony. I would like a site that posts pictures of the lumber that you are buying.  A 2”x2” turning square would work.  I’m wanting to make fadeout wedges to match a riser for a friend. Any  suggestions?

Have you looked here? They don't have much right now in riser thickness. I hadn't looked for a while...

Try rosewood archery. I have done bought wood off of them. They always posted me pics of the boards that I bought. They seem to be very helpful and they sell wood to the bowyer world. The last time I was on there web site they had a listing for macasser ebony.

Try John of Old Mastercrafters in Waukegan, IL.

He has everything you can possibly imagine.

Eisenbrand exotic hardwoods is a great source for all hardwoods. Clay is a great guy to deal with, a bit proud of his wood$$$, but has almost everything.
