58" glass recurve with 1 3/4" limbs.
I pulled my first attempt at a bow out the form a few weeks ago and was disappointed to see that the top glass moved quite a bit in the form. I decided to keep building it for the experience anyway and just hang it on the wall when I got done.
Due to the glass slipping I ended up shaping that limb off center to the riser.
Long story short it has limb twist in that limb and is fairly narrow already from the glass sliding off to one side.
I know I can sand the opposite side to try and bring it back but am concerned about narrowing that limb any more.
How narrow is too narrow??? It would probably be down to 1 1/2" if a take more off to straighten it. Maybe even less.
I shot it yesterday in the back yard for fun and it actually shot nicely. Is there any danger in shooting this bow as is??
Sorry, I didnt take any pictures before I left for work for 4 days.
