I usually use RIT fabric dye for mine.  I've also used osage sawdust in hot water and let feathers soak till desired color is achieved.  Makes a nice golden yellow.....Dan

I think there's a post in the "How To" section on dying feathers.

I have used RIT dye many times in boiling water. I want to try denatured alcohal on the next batch. Store it in glass jar for the next timem works well.

I soak them overnight in kool-aid powder mix and water.  $0.20 for a pack of dye isn't bad.

In the top of this picture are some different flavored feathers.
