Another youth bow question

Got my second attempt in the works.Its 42" long 1 1/4" wide 3/8ish thick.I'm not sure where I should have the brace hieght at.I've got it about 3" now.

At this brace you should be able to see if the string is tracking through the handle. You should be checking the bend in each limb to see if they are equal. If everything looks good I would increase the brace to close to normal.
All this is after exercising it after each time wood is removed.

I've got the tiller pretty close.I just need to know what normal brace hieght its on a youth bow.Getting ready to start bringing the poundage down some, cut the arrow shelf and do the final sanding.

I made mine about 5-6" on my grandsons 40" bow.

Got it tillered and shot it today so far so good.Got it down to 12# at 11".I'd like to get 3 to 5 more pounds off that but I don't want to push my luck to far.I probably just jinxed myself.

You never know the limits till you try.
At this point you have two choices leave it as is and start another or reduce it in weight. If you want the little guy to be able to pull it to full draw those are your choices.

I'm going to let him shoot it tonight and see where we stand.His step brother is older so I may give this one to him (if its not to short) and start another one if I need to.
