Bending bamboo?
« on: July 04, 2012, 02:41:00 AM »
I want to build a boo backed yew bow with static recurve tips. I have boiled a peice of scrap boo and put it on the form. It bent nicely and I want to use this method to make my curves. My question is, does boiling bamboo effect its integrity? Is there a better system for bending boo? Thanks in advance for your input.

bamboo is easy wood to work with. just using head gun will be enough.
