TD question

can an existing long bow be made into a two peice either with the bolt or socket system ?

I believe it can .
I don't know about these systems but Big Jim's Bow Company.
Uses fiberglass, rosen and carbon to make a sleeve.

I am currently trying this on a small youth longbow that I was supposed to ship to Australia. Australia has a postal restriction of 42 inches in country.
Bow was finished thus the interest in,a take down.

No not with a striker !!! They are already takedowns anyway.
