Hi all, I am new here and have a few questions for the experts out there. I am going to build a take down riser for my son. i have an extra set of limbs that would be perfect for him but he shoots left handed and i don't. Hence the build. My plan is to use some wood that I have lying around. Since this is my first attempt at this I want to keep it inexpensive. The question I have is whether or not the wood I am using would be suitable. My plan is to use some oak (from an old church pew) with accents of some cedar or teak (about 1/4" thick) or possibly both, i happen to have lying around. I was also wondering whether or not I should use some glass for additional strength. Oven is already built and I am ready to get started. Any input happily accepted!
