b50 strand count

ive been trying to find a good list of how many strands i need to use for my 80# bows i dont want a super thick string ive been using 20 strands but feel that may be a bit extreme
any animal you see posted that i say i personally harvested was eaten

" if you have to question if your bow will work you dont have enough bow"

80#'s?!  Wow, that's impressive.  Sorry I can't help you out with your question.  But, try looking up Josh Sowerby, a.k.a. Oliverstacy, here on tradgang.  He makes string's as a side business and does a great job!  Good luck.

I wouldn't go less than 16.

I built a 70# boo backed ipe and I used 16 strand and didn't have any problem but I'm with Roy I wouldn't go any less than 16 with that much weight.
