Well,I took a load of osage to the mill SAt. and picked up red elm, curly hickory, a little bit of osage and lots of cedar!! Should have loads of osage in July, got guys callin with logs, may have to take another load to the mill!! Heres a few pics of the wood corner in my shop.....The cedar stack is about 2 feet deep!!
Also read up on the cedar, the MDOC says it is a true juniper..

Hi Kenny, I have a guy a short distance who is selling cedar. I assume it is not kiln dried or anything.
Do you dry your own? any hints?
Would the cedar make good board kids bows? maybe with a backing?
Thanks for any info, Ron

Hey Ron, I am lucky enough to have a buddy who kiln dries lumber. I'm not much of a selfbow builder, but I'd say it would have to be backed with something. I've got kiln dried hickory if you need it.

I love cedar but always back it, especially if kids will be using it.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Looks like a great haul.
I have one word of caution for you . That Expanded polystyrene insulation on the wall of your shop is EXTREEEEEMELY flammable and needs to be covered.
Once that stuff lights you probably wouldn't get out the door before the smoke had ya killed. A hot enough spark from a bench grinder could light it.
