Acrylic paint?
« on: November 08, 2012, 04:25:00 PM »
I'm looking to paint my bow riser black using acrylic paint. I was wondering if any of you had done this before and how it turned out. I did some test blocks and it looks cool. You can see the wood grain but is't not translucent, it seams to be tuff but ware could be an issue.
Thanks
Mike

You could always cover the paint with a clear coat to protect it.

Yep clear coat it with your regular finish after the paint.

I had planning on using a clear coat. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Any good polyurethane such as Minwax will do. You can spray or rub it on.
Don't forget to post some pictures.

Zip-Guard.
Rattle can satin. Nice and easy to use.
