Thunderbird from 3Rivers

Is the Thunderbird from 3Rivers already mixed?  I looked into it and there was never a mention of a part A or B.

Dont have there catalog in front of me but I think what they sell is the sealer or a diffrent type of finish. It is not the two part epoxy. I believe you have to get it from thunder bird, or big jim bow sells the same thing under a different name, Buffalo something.The two part type you mix equeall amounts of "a" and "b" let set for at least 30min then thin 25% with there thinner. Then I spray it. Stuff works great.

I researched it some more and the Thunderbird product that 3Rivers carries is not the epoxy it's actually a fast drying polyurethane.  I purchased it thinking it was the epoxy, would this product work on a Wenge riser?  Or is Wenge to oily for polyurethane?

I used it on Wenge and it worked fine.

The Thunderbird from 3 Rivers is not a epoxy finish.  It's a conversion varnish that goes on as a lacquer and dries as polyurethane. It is pretty good stuff.  It will cover Wenge, Cocobolo, Bocote, Ipe etc.  It dries quickly and leaves a nice finish.  I hate to say it but get the slow drying lacquer thinner.  It dries too quickly with regular lacquer thinner leaving a slightly dimpled look.
