Very nice, glad to see someone using the amazing timbers Australia has to offer.  I've got a bow with some purple gidgee in the riser, it's spectacular!

I 've been trying to source some purple gidgee and might have got on to some. Its a bit like osage, darkens with sun exposure only it goes purple.A lot of the desert timbers which are not commercially harvested are absolutely spectacular. One called minniritchie have beautiful 'fiddleback' but is harder to find than rocking horse droppings!

Bob, thinking more of the likes of Outabackabogabrie or even a simple one like Wollarawang and Woolamaloo. Where you from.

Not exactly a real crazy name for a town, but then again my dad just loves Intercourse, Pa.

Get what you mean 'bout that town in Pa.Roy you jossing me?       Haint never heard of a town over here by that name.   :thumbsup:A lot of names here, at least ones that are hard to pronounce are derived from a corruption of native Australian language.

Back again. Think you been nibblin on some moonshine Roy.   :D    :D    Googled for it on Place names Australia and come up with 5/8 of nothing. Did see a few places in US though in different states.

Ole Roy can't handle moonshine, but he could have been drowning in a bucket of Coors light. I hear that's pretty heady stuff, though I don't touch it myself.  :)
