10 year olds bow

building an osage bow for a freinds ten yr old son. trying to make it a suprise. the bow is 48in. 1 1/4 at the fades. do you think i will be fine tillering it out to 20 inches or should i go further.

20 would be plenty.

I tiller kids bows to 25# at 24".  I'd make it 1" wide or less or you will get pretty thin.
Take a kid hunting!
