Backing for a kid's bow
« on: December 18, 2012, 05:18:00 PM »
I didn't want to do actual skins because my 4 year old can be fairly hard on things...I'm sure this bow is going to be subject to a fair amount of abuse. I decided to use part of an old minnow seine I had laying around. It should be fairly tough, and it doesn't look half bad IMO.

I'll get more pics up when the bow is done. It's a hickory self bow with an osage handle. I've got it mostly tillered, so it shouldn't be long now.

If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

I like your backing, Scott. Looks interesting.
