Tillering tree/stick measurements..
« on: February 22, 2013, 03:06:00 PM »
Hey folks. I am in the process of my first board bow (to learn on) and I have a tillering tree built. How do you mark the measurements in 1" increments. Do you measure from the back of the bow, the belly, the block your bow is resting on?? Where do you start measuring exactly?

The back of the bow just like your draw length. Yes 1 inch increments.

I set my tree up to measure the draw of the bow just like we measure our draw lengths... 1 3/4" in front of the deepest part of the grip.

That way it doesn't matter how deep each bow's grip is.
