Thread has caught my interest.I own a triple carbon bow(belly, core and back)that has wood veneers on back and belly. Was told the bowyer has glass over the veneers.I've owned and handled several glass bows in the past 20+ years, but have yet to see a bow w/ glass that's so thin it looks like Scotch tape,as this bow has.I understand any additional lams. adds performance robbing weight to the limbs but wouldn't the layer of glass and wood over the carbon make the bow more impervious to damage.

Overbo,
Yes the glass will make the bow withstand impacts and draw and shot cycles better than bare uni carbon. I used to grind UL glass w/o scrim down to .010 and glue it over uni on the belly side of LBs and use bare carbon on the back. A few of those bows are still in service. But not all...

Bonner,
If you know,
What was the performance difference of your bow w/out the glass compared to bows w/ the glass?
