« on: March 01, 2013, 06:09:00 PM »
Couldn't hunt, with my bow this year, due to falling at work. Tried to make some bows but just couldn't get motivated, due to the injury. Had surgery at 10 this morning, small tear.Hopefully I'll be back shooting in a few months.Block hasn't wore off yet so no pain. Everybody be careful.IT CAN HAPPEN IN A SECOND.I just tripped on a machine and fell.Don

Make darn sure you do your PT!

I know it sucks, but it is only in your best interest. Even after your cleared, continue to do your PT...
I am a corrective exercise specialist by the way... I make a living getting peoples bodies working BEFORE they get hurt. Feel free to PM me if you want an insight in how this all relates to archery!

Good luck, treat this like a new challenge to surmount and your will recover quickly! Infact, done right you will increase poundage and accuracy!

Take it easy and don't rush it.  I had my right shoulder done, hurried the come back, and over done it; ended ended up having to shoot left handed for three years.  Take it light for quote as while.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
