Drum sander question
« on: March 31, 2013, 04:00:00 PM »
other than the obvious (2 inches) are there other differences in the 10 inch baby drum sander and the 12 inch drum sander that
grizzly sells?
thanking about getting one and was not sure which one to get.

The only thing I might say would be finding the precut roles for the 12". Woodcrafters and most any of the chain type wood stores carries the 10" wraps.

I can do most anything needed in bow building with my 10". Just have to remember it's not as strong as my 22/44 and have to take my time and go at it alot slower.

It's pretty easy to cut the 3" rolls of sandpaper to whatever size you need. Grizzly industrial sells it dirt cheap. Before buying a grizzly keep an eye on your local classifieds for a performax 16/32. I got a clean used one for $400.
