TD recurve form spacing?
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:44:00 PM »
How big of a space do you guys use in a TD recurve two piece form?  the Bingham long bow form is something like 1 1/8 inch. About the same for a recurve?

Short answer, sounds about right.  I usually lay at the least a wedge on the form and then scribe a line on the upper part of the form about 1 1/8 or 1 1/4.  That is plenty of room to insert the lams glass and hose and still give a good amount of pressure.

I use 1.25 on longbows , so 1 1/8 sounds bout right for a wider limb.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
