Decided I didn't like the plain finish. So I sanded off the tung oil and stained just the boo a light golden oak. The first coat of tung oil on the oak made her pop.

I guess it's ok:)

Looking slick Roy. I like the new color.

Well I finally got around to finishing her. 47 pounds at 28 inches, 1/16th negative tiller.

Roy, why is the handle shifted above the center of the riser? Where is the center of the bow in relation to the center of the riser piece? And to the handle?

I remember some of your previous bows were the opposite... with the handle shifted BELOW the center of the riser, and I guess I'm wondering what you use to determine handle and riser position... and why you wouldn't center the handle on the riser, and both of them at the apex of the deflex? To me it would feel weird shooting with the thickest part of the grip at the heal of my hand instead of in the center of my palm, since that's how the hand is shaped.

I would also wonder whether you glued the bow up symmetrical? If not, what difference is there?

Actually the leather grip is only 3 inches long, it was a scrap piece laying around that I wanted to use up, I'm going to take it off and put on a 4 inch grip. Yesterday was a long Coors light  day, I should have not gone out to the bow shop so late:) The riser is laid out even and grip centered, the bottom limb is 1/2" shorter.

Been catching up on the posts I've missed the last couple of weeks. I love the way this one turned out, Roy.

7 hours later.... I found a floor!

Another day or so to get the benches cleared off and tools located, and I'll be ready to make a mess again
