Hey guys. Here is the latest bow I'm working on. I don't want to get too excited just yet but it is looking promising on this one.
It is only 62" ttt. It it a hefty 55lbs at 22 inches, so I need to get some of that weight off. I need it to be around 45lbs at 27-28 inches.
What do I need to do to get her there?

Left fade looks like it might be starting to hinge, and also on the left limb, about 2/3rds out, fix those, then might need to weaken right limb, then work on getting to full brace, thats what i would do.

Braced at 22" is a good time to run a Gizmo over it.  That will tell you where your weak and stiff areas are.

Yes, fix that hinge right away.  Write a big ole' "NO" on that spot and don't touch it again.  You follow? No touching it!  

Most of your bend in the left limb is concentrated in the spot 3-4" from the handle.  Then it is very flat from there to midlimb.  Work that area, 10 scrapes at a time and then pull only to maybe 15" until it is even.  You will likely have to take an equal number of full length scrapes from the right limb, which looks great by the way.  Take your time, stay patient and work it until that hinge is gone.

Also, it looks like your corners on the back coulb be rounded some.

Okay guys. I've been working on what you said and using my gizmo.
How does it look now?
This is at the same draw length as the first pic and at 4" brace height. Gizmo is showing it as all good but looking at it I think the left limb still has a flat spot. What do you think?

Oh one more thing;
I did round the edges more but I'm not sure you can tell in this pic.

That's looking really good. You got good advice.
Looks like the last several inches  need to be lightened.
Then should be fine.
Get 45# at 26 in and shoot it in.
On the next one rig up a rope and pulley. Leaving your stave drawn for eons as you snap a divi is not good.

I'd still work the left limb some.  It's pretty flat.  Green means go.  Looking good though.

Thanks guys. I'm going to work that left limb a little, shave some off the tips and cut in the handle tonight. I hope to get some full draw pics this weekend.
