Mike, Bow is level with the pegboard. I put a level on it each time to make sure I'm consistent. I going for 45-50# and am at about 35# @ 20", so I'm close. I have been taking small amounts off each time. being off center makes it look less even than it really is. Tips are at even distance.

Not sure how the shot feels yet. I have only taken one and I got a little distracted at the result  :)

Here's another look. I think a little more at fades and ends will have me looking good. I like the way it is bending evenly through both limbs.

tony
you have a shot of the limb tips straight on from the back?--my goal is to see the width of the stiff tip section-----
how much set if any is it taking?
im not sure that i'd mess with the fades much--
if any--light sanding on the top limb--its real close by my eye [and a dandy ellipse]

Mike, the bow is straight taper from 2" to a little less than 1/2" tips. Tips are fairly thick from belly to back, so I plan on thinning them out some. When I unstrung it, it had a little less than 1" set and that went to less than 1/2" after sitting for a while. I am very pleased with it so far and have it to the point of sanding and shooting in. Will see how the tiller holds up. Will post more pics tomorrow night.

It's better, but a little more bend right outside the flares is needed. Just a little.

listen to roy---you know i'm a glass guy anyhow---

that being said i'm also partial to stiff limb tips-like yours--so my thought on yours is to put an extreme trap on them to keep the stiffness but reduce tip weight--looking good!
