the props are made from high impact urethane material by the special effects/arts company Weta Workshop.

Those bevels would have to be designed to either open up when drawn or be able to stretch.

One way it'll add LOTS of draw weight to the bow...the other jus lots of dead weight.

It is cool looking and I hope you can make one.

I think it'd make a cool wall hanger, but I think you're going to have to decide between a bow which looks just liek that bow and hangs on the wall, or a bow which looks somewhat similar and can actually shoot reliable with more than 5lbs draw weight.

FWIW I have seen somewhere a few really nice and functional replicas of the other bow in the bottom picture. The black one thats almost like an angular egyptian bow. I think the guy used like 3 or 4 or more laminations of hickory and I wanna say ipe or osage, then painted the whole thing.

I made a PVC horsebow that might could have been shaped like that.  Worked decently well, if I had understood better what i was trying to do I think it would have worked better.  But try PVC, it might do what you want.

I see a lot of horn sinew bows of the turks, Crimean tatars in the shape of the limbs and static levers. The handle has a lot of the Bulgarian horn bows influence and even the raised ridges albeit they are enhanced where used in India. So yes I think this bow can be made at hunting and even at war bow weights. The main worry I think would be the poison effect. That could probably be lessed by extending horn belly past the wood core, The horn would more than likely have to be thin on the edge that extended pass the core. Of coarse I would like about 20 years of horn bow experience before I tried it. :D

Talk to my friend Tim Piatek at GoldenHordeBows.  He makes fabulous PVC bows exactly like the ones you've pictured.  You can check him out on the Google Plus community called PVC Archery and Crafting.
