Pat these are wonderful.
How do the shafts fit to the tips? And can this be done with bamboo shafts? Or do you know where a how to link is?

Scars, these foreshafts aren't meant for the arrow here. Just a an example of foreshafted points.
The foreshafts would be fitted into the end of the shaft with a tapered hole matched to accept the foreshaft. Both cane and hardwood shafting was used with foreshafts.
Foreshafts are not necessary for adding stone points to arrows. I haft a point right to the shaft, cane or hardwood shoot arrows.

I'm chuckling at myself Pat. I have been googling footed arrow shafts and cane shafting and not seeing shafted points like yours. Now it makes scents. Think I will try your tapered shaft with matched holes.

Thanks

Patrick makes some incredible stuff, George.
Scars, Art Butner uses a taper like for a glue on point on the fore shaft and made a drill bit to match for the tapered hole. A spade bit ground to the same taper works pretty good.

The glass points just look so modern yet primitive at the same time.

I have some steel trade points I want to attach to some bamboo shafts with birch slippers:)

And now you got me thinking about knapping stone points.

Thanks Joe
