The 2nd R/D bow of this year
« on: March 02, 2008, 07:01:00 AM »
Hi All,

This is my second one I completed this year. The bow has bocote limbs (Back and belly) under clear glass and tapered flooring bamboo lams as core. The riser is made of cocobolo and bocote split by a mosaic stripe. The tips are made of Micarta G10 with a bocote overlay. This bow is 64” ntn and has a pull of 43# @28”.
I made this bow for a guy who recently started trad archery and he wanted to “test drive” this type of bow to see if it fits him. Since his pull is 30” I had to make this bow longer than the 62” bows, that I normally build.

SWEET !! Another excellent bow Arnold! Did you use the same form for the longer length?
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Those things are sweet. You build a beautiful bow!

30"draw = 64" bow? Why not a 62"? I draw 30" and shoot 60" bows with no problem. Great looking bows V as always.<><

Hi Kenny,

Quote: "Did you use the same form for the longer length?"

Yes I did, the form is just good for this length.

Thanks Arnold,I do the same,can usually go about 4" worth of length difference, like say  from 60"-64" on one form.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
