Clear Glass over Limb Tips?
« on: January 28, 2014, 12:09:00 PM »
I have a question for you guys, I've recently seen a bowyer putting clear glass, over his Limb Tips, looks pretty cool.

I believe Micarta Base/Wood/Clear Glass.... Any reason this could possibly fail?

Thank you

I use glass for tip overlays all the time, never had any probs with! I like it better than micarta; no visible weaving.

Yeah, I'm going to be switching from micarta to glass because I can't stand the weaving.  And no, it works at least as well. Just make sure to rough up the gluing surfaces on the glass like always!

X3

I have been using glass for tips since I stated building glass bows.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
