weight increase vs length

If I were to shorten a takedown recurve by two inches, riser and limb pad angles remains the same. How much of a draw weight increase should I expect?  I know this has been discussed before but I can't recall.  I am thinking about 5-7 pounds? Thanks

Yeah that's a good ballpark depending on the current draw weight. I think a heavier bow will gain a little more weight per inch cut than a much lighter one.

Sounds right to me.  I've done it twice, once on a 29# that went to 34# and one 47# that went to 55#.

6# for 2" off on my D/Rs , but not sure on a curve...

6-7 pounds per 2" on my D/R longbows but I've never cut down a recurve.  Is it a full working curve, static or partially static?

5-7 pound gain...is that just cutting two inches off while leaving the width alone, or reducing the length and reprofiling the limbs to return the tips to their original width?
